Things were going great with my girlfriend, Sarah. I had finally finished my general education classes, and was working on the courses that I wanted to take for my major. We had been a very good team last year, just missing out on winning our conference, and with most of our players from last year returning plus our addition of Marcus, we expected to win it this year. Most of our players were upperclassmen all of our starters except at point guard, where highly-touted freshman Marcus Washington was expected to earn the starter's spot.
